Director Bill Vedra joined the City of Cincinnati’s Emergency Communications Center in 2018. He has worked in various public safety roles over 19 years, with a focus on emergency communications technology and operational management. His public safety career began as an Emergency Dispatcher, while he also worked as a Volunteer Firefighter and Emergency Medical Technician. He came to the City of Cincinnati from a nearby Sheriff's Office, where he administered a county-wide radio system and assisted in the deployment of an NG911-compatible telephone system across eight dispatch centers. Director Vedra is a certified Emergency Number Professional (ENP) through the National Emergency Number Association

Candace Harris

Candace Harris is the Police Civilian Operations Manager for the Arvada Police Department in Jefferson County CO. She began her career in public safety dispatch over 23 years ago.  The communication center was her passion and home for over 18 years, with 6 as a trainer and 6 in supervision.  In 2017, she transitioned to other civilian roles to include Accreditation Coordinator and Records Supervisor, which led to her current position.  She currently manages and supports 6 civilian teams within our police department to include Records, Police Services Technicians, Body Worn Camera Techs, Crime Analysis, Evidence and Liquor Licensing.  In addition, I assist the department as the liaison for our regional communication center.   I have been in this role for just under 3 years and love the diversity and challenges it presents. Scott is the General Manager of Public Safety and leads the PowerDMS Platform for NEOGOV.  He has spent the past 20 years developing technology solutions for law enforcement and 9-1-1. Throughout his career, he has served as Chief Product Officer and Head of Strategy for companies that developed Computer Aided Dispatch and Records Management systems. Having worked for Motorola, VisionAIR and TriTech, Scott works with thousands of law enforcement agencies throughout the country, helping automate workflows and developing solutions to help with their most pressing problems. He joined the NEOGOV family by way of an acquisition of a company he started, called CueHit, which automates Citizen Engagement solutions for law enforcement.
